The Business Support Specialist III will enable the Enrollment & Billing Services core of the Service Organization to meet financial performance targets by having specialized financial management consulting expertise. This role’s primary function is to provide support through financial oversight and solution development for the E&B process for both internal and outsourced costs. This role also serves as a change agent, coach, educator and facilitator to the E&B leadership team.


 


Essential Job Functions:


  •  Provide financial consulting support to senior leadership related to planning, costing, forecasting, evaluating, measuring and controlling risk of financial plans for the organization
  • Collect and compile data to identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in simple to complex data sets
  • Research General Ledger (GL) entries as required
  • Participate in the build of annual budgets while providing guidance and controllership of process
  • Produce, edit and distribute a variety of financial documents such as budget variance financial analysis, monthly financial forecast / re-projections, labor comparison reporting
  • Provide one-on-one financial updates on both direct costs as well as end-to-end cost allocated financials / PMPM (by function and segment)
  • Develop financial corrective action plans and assess financial impacts of decisions
  • Coordinate with other areas of the company as an active participant of various Return on Investment (ROI) initiatives
  • Provide financial education as needed
  • Participate in departmental / divisional workgroups and initiatives; support or lead components of projects
  •  Complete project work as assigned, coordinate and maintain project plan documents
  • Participate in the review, evaluation and modification of work processes, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement, compliance and adherence to business and system requirements; identify and recommend improvements
  • Create, present and/or facilitate meetings, webinars, conference calls, training programs, education sessions, etc. for a variety of internal and external audiences
  • Develop and build internal and external partnerships to improve communication, coordination, collaboration and effective working relationships across the Company

 


Required Skills:


  •  Bachelor's degree or related work experience
  • 5+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education
  • Demonstrated PC skills including working knowledge and proficiency with the primary Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in statistical, analytical and forecasting methodologies
  • Experience creating presentations and writing executive summaries
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate timeframes, commitments and deliverables

Preferred Skills:


  • Two (2) years supervisory or leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Service Org organizational structure
  • Knowledge of Corporate financial systems (PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Cost for Pricing, etc.)
