The Data Transformation Architect in End User Enablement provides consultation to business area clients regarding the planning, execution and benefit realization of business technology solutions related to ongoing data transformation.  Performs analysis, gathers requirements and produces documentation for existing and ongoing data needs.


Works closely with assigned business area subject matter experts, executives and key stakeholders to understand the strategic goals and business objectives. Analyze and understands the business direction and impacting programs and ensures alignment to the client's business mission and objectives. They are accountable for leading the successful transition of the client's business from the current through the future state through effective planning and are accountable for the realization of expected benefits.  Act as a champion of business needs as they pertain to the success of the organization as a whole.

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitates capability planning activities, focusing on the initiative level
  • Develops and maintains capability plans and roadmaps
  • Influences and assesses current state/desired future state and ensure initiative execution is strategically aligned to the business roadmap/objectives
  • Work with business subject matter experts to analyze/validate/exploit data through it’s transformation/consumption by various business stakeholders
  • Influences and negotiates with domain and functional business leads utilizing problem solving skills to better position the business in its consumption of enterprise data
  • Collaborates with other Architects in selection and implementation of technology solutions including detailed analysis of pros and cons and build vs buy options in a way aligned to strategy
  • Contributes in development of architecture blueprints. Conducts research for future/desired functionality discovery and scoping meetings with business partners and vendors
  • Works with the business and IT as a liaison to ensure the business data needs are fully articulated, understood and realized
  • Develops strategic capability plan that includes components of risk and complexity, cost, effort, degree of change and delivery schedule
  • Promotes implementation of new technology, solutions and methods to improve business processes, efficiency, effectiveness and value delivered to customers
  • Documents current system state; requirements; and prioritizes ongoing business needs

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education.
  • Experience Details: IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Architect and/or Systems Analyst experience including working on multi-year, large scale projects or equivalent combination of transferrable experience and education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience IT related field
  • Conceptual knowledge of the health care industry
  • Ability to understand overall IT strategy and apply/implement IT strategy in assigned projects/initiatives
  • Ability to apply current and emerging technology solutions and trends

     Preferred Skills:

    • Experience using Agile methodology
    • A solid understanding of the healthcare industry and the laws and regulations that govern and/or impact our business
    • Masters' Degree in Business Administration
    • Business Architecture related certifications
