Senior Consultant - Strategic Business Investment Portfolio Management


Delivers integrated financial and operational performance analysis and reporting on existing and future strategic business investments, such as acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships.  This analysis includes, but is not limited to, financial results, strategic alignment, business performance and risk profile. Identifies systemic risks, facilitates development of mitigation plans, and provides proactive and timely communication of critical information on status to leadership.


  • Works with internal and external resources to evaluate a company and provide consultative and subject matter expertise in assumptions and accretive business value of a future or existing strategic investment
  • Manages and produces information, analyses, assessments, and business modeling involved in review of future or existing strategic investment for Enterprise executive review; examines financial and operating statements in the overall evaluation and analysis.
  • Continuously ensure that plans are in place to achieve investment value and to address below expectation performance through corrective action plans and closed loop insights into valuation methodology.
  • Provides consultation and support to Board members of portfolio subsidiary, joint venture and/or alliances in effectively executing their governance role.
  • Requires the development of strong relationships and partnerships with senior leaders across the organization (e.g., Business Leads, Board Members, Finance) and/or portfolio entity to influence strategic business decisions necessary for the achievement of operating results. 




  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Finance
  • At least 7 years of experience in business investment portfolio management, large scale program or project management
  • At least 3 years of experience leading or managing large, complex projects
  • 2-3 years minimum experience with Hyperion Budgeting, Reporting and Analysis tools
  • Strong financial background with demonstrated ability to understand and communicate financial models and ROI analyses; present financial statements and portfolio performance information in a concise and relevant manner to internal and external constituents at all organizational levels
  • Ability to understand complex business strategies, ensuring solutions and projects to support the accomplishment of business strategy
  • Excellent financial and analytical aptitude with advanced Excel financial modeling skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create professional presentations in PowerPoint and Word
  • Highly resourceful with ability to effectively mine and analyze data from multiple financial systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently



Preferred skills:

  •      MBA
  •      Experience in the healthcare industry
  •      PMI, PMP or other related industry certification
