The Talent Data Analyst works independently with minimal guidance to gather and analyze talent data using a range of statistical methods and applications to evaluate the effectiveness and outcomes of the workplace and HR programs. The Talent Data Analyst will partner with the HR Analytics Team, HR functional leaders and HRBPs to produce insights, predictive and prescriptive data models in order to support talent attraction, development, engagement, and retention.
 
  • Study talent and talent processes in order to identify actionable insights and adjustments that can benefit the enterprise and drive better business outcomes
  • Conduct hypothesis testing, design statistical models (such as causal, predictive and prescriptive) and analyze and interpret data in order to draw conclusions that inform management’s decision making in areas including, but not limited to: selection, promotion, development, retention, performance, rewards and succession processes
  • Support the maintenance of the talent analytics solution, provide subject matter expertise and support change management as a project leader or through ownership of elements of a project
  • Consult with HRBPs and functional HR leaders to share insights and findings that will inform business decisions and further the advancement of the talent analytics team and participate in presentations, business meetings and analytical discussions
  • Analyze new data sources for availability and quality, and integrate with internal sources to support research and analytics
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years related work experience(workforce reporting, data analytics or metrics that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of the position) or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education
  • Experience with Minitab, SAS, SPSS, R or other statistical tools required
  • Previous HR experience with understanding of HR processes
  • Demonstrated experience applying statistics and higher order analytics (for example, retrospective/trend analysis, regression, predictive analysis/modeling) within a business context
  • Experience communicating complex statistical concepts, analyses and recommendations to non-experts or non-technical audiences such as business leaders and HR colleagues in both a written and verbal manner
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvement
  • Advanced experience using relevant software tools and solutions such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Access), SQL, Sharepoint, Hyperion, PeopleSoft, ADP Taleo, SuccessFactors, SumTotal, Visier or other related or similar HR Information and Management Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree Statistics, organizational psychology or behavioral sciences
  • Master’s degree Science in a technical or data-related field such as computer science or engineering
  • Experience delivering results for the business in partnership with Human Resource’s Centers of Excellence, corresponding Human Resource’s Business Partners, and other HR teams as needed preferred
  • Experience with talent analytics solution Visier
  • Experience with talent analytics features within tools such as Peoplesoft, SumTotal, SuccessFactors or Taleo a plus
  • Knowledge of data warehouse, business intelligence, business objects reporting or relational data base management a plus
